The Cooperativa Terra Alta de La Pobla de Massaluca was founded in 1963 with the task of creating a strong and powerful entity to face the monopoly exercised by a small number of individuals in the grape and wine sector.

Today, the coop’s cellar possesses modern facilities for the reception of the harvested grape, the elaboration of the must, as well as the fermentation and maceration in stainless steel thermo-control vats and French Oak barrels for the ageing of the semi-crianzas and crianzas. The selection of the wines for their later bottling is carried out using a policy of seriousness and rigorous oenological and sanitary control, without differencing young from aged or macerated wines, semi-crianzas or crianzas. Annually the winery produces around 11.000 hectoliters of wine although it has a maximum capacity to work with15.000 kilogramsof grape per hour.

The Cooperative of The Pobla de Massaluca has its own vineyards, situated in the region with the qualification of Denomination of Origin Terra Alta. With240 hectaresof land dedicated to vineyards, the plots are located in the municipalities of La Pobla de Massaluca, Batea and Vilalba dels Arcs.
