CHARACTERISTICS

REG|ON
Our wines come from vineyards located in the village of La Pobla de Massaluca, department of "Terra Alta”, the most southern part of the Terra Alta Denomination. With an extension of 43,2 km2 and an altitude of 363 meters, it is the of the region that touches the famous Ebro River

ORIGIN
Red wine aged in new french oak, comes from sun drenched beautiful terraces that decorate low and undulating hill sites at over 300 meters above sea-level. With strong and deep soils with an excellent exposition, making it a unique environment place from which to obtain excellent grape quality and fantastic yields.

VINEYARD/ HARVEST
Grapes selected from 15 to 45 year old plums. Hand harvested on 20th October.

77 Hectares.

VINIFICATION
The grapes are hand-harvested, having previously selected the p|ants with perfect maturation to produce an excellent red wine. The single day hand-harvest ensures total and exclusive dedication to this red wine. The process begins with stoling, continuing with the direct pressing for the vinification. Fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel drums (Max. 28°C), to continue with o maceration that Iosts 18 days. Once maceration is carried out, the wine is then transferred to French Oak to age 8 months, ageing continued in bott|e during 12 months.

TASTING NOTES

Wonderful aromas of black cherries, blackcurrant, and red fruits, with notes of vanilla and toasted bread, it has an excellent balance and long finish round, pleasant, appetizing to the palate, and with great spicy structure.

TEMPERATURE
Serve at 17° C.

ACCOMPANIMENT
Classical: Arroz al horno - baked Spanish rice. Terroir: Puchero canario - a saffron stew with sausage, beans, chickpeas and potatoes. Ethnic: prawns and baby squid in white truffle sauce.
